I've yet to actually try this on my eyelids, but I did play with it a little bit on the back of my hand. Super smooth, shimmery, and very nicely pigmented. If you're looking for extra oomph, definitely grab an eye primer (one that works for you), and/or apply it wet. Like with any loose shadow, it can be a little messy, so be careful.
